How to find empirica


by car:
We prepared a colored plan of the Bonn city centre on which you can see the exact location of empirica. 

Coming from the Autobahn 565, you take the exit "Bonn Auerberg Nord" and drive towards the direction of the city centre. At the next big junction with traffic lights you take a turn to the right (Kaiser-Karl-Ring). At the next traffic 

 lights turn left and drive straight on until you see a multi-storey car park with a DEA gas station on the left hand side. We recommend to use this car park. Cross the street and keep on walking the same direction as you drove, until you come to the next traffic light. The building at the corner is where you find empirica. 
by airplane and train:
When you travel by plane you will probably arrive at Köln/Bonn airport. From there we recommend to take bus number 670 to Bonn main station (Duration: approx. 30 minutes, cost: approx. 8,-- marks.) 
If you arrive at Frankfurt airport you can take a direct train to Bonn main station. (Duration approx. 1 3/4 hours)  		Should you arrive at Düsseldorf airport you can take the S-Bahn tram to Düsseldorf main station and from there a train to Bonn main station (Duration approx. 1 1/4 hours).
How to get to empirica from Bonn main station: 
There are several possibilities: 
  1. Tram no. 62, direction Oberkassel, 3 stops, get off at Bertha-von-Suttner- Platz. The tram departs outside the main station. 
  2. Underground train no. 66, direction Siegburg, 2 stops, get off at Bertha-von- Suttner-Platz (Underground sign-posted in the main station) 
  3. By taxi for approx. 10 marks (taxi rank outside the main station) 
 From the station to empirica it is a 10 minutes walk through the pedestrian area. From the main entrance (cross the street) and walk straight on along Poststrasse until you come to Münsterplatz, a big square with a monument of Beethoven and the cathedral. Cross Münsterplatz diagonally and turn left into Remigiusstrasse (between the ware houses Leffers and Kaufhof). Walk straight on until you reach the market square (fruit  and vegetable market) with the historical town hall. Turn left and take the first turn right again into Bonngasse which ends at the traffic lights on Oxfordstrasse. Cross these lights and you are in front of Oxfordstrasse 2 where you find empirica on the 4th floor.
